Over the years, numerous visitors and staff members have reported paranormal experiences on the ship. Some have claimed to hear unexplained footsteps, voices, and eerie whispers in the dark corridors. Others have witnessed apparitions of sailors in old-fashioned uniforms roaming the decks.

One of the most well-known ghostly encounters on the USS North Carolina involves the spirit of a sailor named William "Billy" Farrow. It is said that Billy died during an accident on the ship, and his ghost is often spotted near his former bunk area.

There have also been reports of doors opening and closing on their own, objects moving without explanation, and sudden temperature drops in certain areas of the ship. Visitors have captured strange orbs and apparitions in photographs and recordings, further fueling the belief in the ship's haunted history.

Despite the numerous accounts of paranormal activity, skeptics argue that the reports may be attributed to the ship's historical significance, creaking noises, and visitors' overactive imaginations.

Nevertheless, the haunted USS North Carolina remains a popular destination for paranormal enthusiasts and history buffs alike, continuing to intrigue visitors with its fascinating and eerie stories.
